Because the TDI patented technology reduces complexity of deployment by eliminating all SAN environment changes that are normally required, planning sessions for DMS and DCS are greatly simplified. Your SAN team does not need to review zoning changes (there are none)! Your Storage team does not need to review LUN masking changes (there are none)! Planning sessions go smoothly and result in a simple, low risk, zero-downtime implementation plan.

Since all deployments of Cirrus Data’s TDI-enabled solutions (such as DMS and DCS) are implemented typically without any re-configuration of the existing environment, the rollout plan is as simple as powering up the DMS/DCS appliances and plugging in the FC ports to the existing ports of the production SAN. The impact is no more than that of a typical GBIC or cable change. As such, your IT staff and a small team from one of our Partners can perform the implementation with high degree of confidence. The back-out plan is as simple as restoring the original FC cabling — again, without any FC zoning or LUN masking changes to be undone. A simple implementation plan means lower risk and minimum impact to production.
